PUR high-flex drag chain cable

When PVC is a practical choice

A flexible PVC cable can suit controlled indoor machine and automation applications when its temperature, movement and exposure ratings match the installation. TRVV and TRVVP are the PVC-based drag-chain options in the current range.

When to evaluate PUR

Evaluate a PUR option when the cable faces demanding abrasion, mechanical contact or environmental exposure. Actual resistance depends on the complete compound and cable construction, so list the substances, temperatures and movement conditions that need to be reviewed.

Shielding is a separate decision

TRVV-PUR is an unshielded PUR option and TRVVP-PUR is shielded. Select shielding from the electrical circuit and interference environment. Do not assume a jacket upgrade also changes signal protection.

Compare like with like

Compare cables at the same voltage, core count, conductor size, bending radius and movement requirement. The published TRVV family is rated 450/750 V with a minimum bending radius of at least 12D and an operating-temperature range of -35°C to 70°C. Confirm the final values for the ordered construction.

Prepare the supplier review

Send the chain radius, travel, speed, acceleration, cycles, cable arrangement, oil or chemical exposure, ambient temperature, shielding requirement and order length. This is more useful than asking only for a PUR price difference.
